Wisdom Teeth - Owned

Hey guys. Well, tomorrow I go to get my 4 wisdom teeth brutally torn from my cake hole.

I'll be going to hospital to go under for an hour or so and then spending the next few days (long weekend woo~!) bruised, swollen and feeling sorry for myself - heavily medicated I've been advised.

The top 2 teeth aren't really bothering me - as in, they're half way out and (I've been told) that they'll be no issue.

The bottom two, well - they're snuggly lodged inside my lower jaw, behind may last visible molars and pointing towards the front of my mouth.

For that they're going to have to break one side of my jaw bone and fish them out and the doctor told me there is a good chance he may accidentally break my jaw as the remaining bone structure is quite fragile during the operation. *Shudder*

So apart from obvious comfort issue, pain, swelling, bruising and potential jaw breakage - I've been told I may not get feeling back in jaw and lips for a few days or weeks or ever.

Great.

Oh and I could die while under.

Nice.

I hate dentists. I hate Hospitals. I hate operations.

I face them all tomorrow...

At least I'll be on heavy duty pain killers...

*wince* I'm just glad my dentist was able to just split my bottom 2 wisdom teeth to get them out without any other problems; my top 2 just required a good deal of loosening and then a good yank. Downside was that I was awake during the entire procedures; 3 shots in all four areas just to fully numb me.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled out already. Now, I don't have any wisdom left.

The first tooth was split to two because it was growing in a horizontal fashion. All the gums weren't stitched. The dentist said it was better to heal normally than to have it stitched. I don't mean to scare you or whatever :lmao:

the dentist told me all my wisdom teeth were growing straight and i didn't have to worry about it. he neglected to tell me however that whenever they grow/shift/whatever it throws my jaw out of wack and i cant shut it completely for a few days without some intense pain. do you have any idea how hard it is to eat when you cant chew????

oy vey. i hate dentists.

I'm starting to have problems with mine but I'm putting off having them removed for as long as possible. I hate dentists too, and I just can't afford it right now. I actually went in to one place to see if they could remove them but it turned out to be a rip.
